Join us on Thursday, November 9th, as we welcome Johannes & Barbara Selbach of Germany’s renowned Selbach-Oster.
Johannes and Barbara, alongside their son, Sebastian, manage their vineyards and winery with passion and respect for the estate’s long held traditions.
Most of the Selbach-Oster vineyards are located on steep, contiguous slopes that represent some of the most prestigious sites in all of the Middle Mosel. In fact, 85% of the Selbach’s vines are planted on steep slopes.
Johannes will share with us his traditionalist, hands-off manner of winemaking, that focuses on meticulous work in their organic and sustainably farmed vineyards with the aim to produce and bring home perfect fruit that will later be transformed to world class wine.
We will be serving seven (7) different wines from their vineyards and while most of them are Rieslings, we will also taste a sparkling wine using a blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and Meunier and one red wine, a 100% Pinot Noir (aka Spatburgunder) during this five course dinner.
