Rudius Winery Dinner with Owner Brittany Ames

$145Join us at the Pluckemin Inn for a wine pairing dinner featuring a selection of wines from Rudius, one of Napa’s hottest up and coming wineries. This tiny winery, founded in 2005 by Jeff Ames and his wife Brittany, has hit it out of the park with their stunning 2012 offerings. Jeff’s story started when he was working in a wine shop in Memphis before moving west, initially doing a stint in Oregon for Lynn Penner-Ash. He then moved to Napa, where he honed his skills working with some of the best, including time as Thomas Brown’s assistant winemaker at Schrader, Tor, Maybach, and Outpost, before starting Rudius.
Brittany, who works in all aspects of the winery, will guide us through a line up of their wines beginning with the delicious 2013 Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay, followed by a trio of Cabernets from 2012 including the Napa, Panek and Kaley cuvees. We’ll then move on to their 2012 Hudson Vineyard Syrah, a stunning wine from some of the oldest parcels in Lee Hudson’s iconic vineyard, originally planted by Michael Havens more than two decades ago. The wines will be paired with a sumptuous menu prepared by Executive Chef Andrew Lattanzio created to compliment each of the wines. Seating is limited, don’t delay!
