Spanish Wine Dinner

Some evenings call for a passport. This one just calls for a reservation. On Thursday, October 29th, Pluckemin Inn takes a trip across Spain for a five-course wine-paired dinner, traveling from the misty Atlantic coastline of Galicia to the sunny bodegas of Jerez, with plenty of delicious stops in between.
The journey begins by the sea with a bright, mineral Albariño from Boal de Arousa in Rías Baixas, a wine that tastes like a sunny afternoon on the Galician coast. From there we head inland to Navarra for Viña Zorzal’s Garnacha Blanca, then climb into the steep slate hills of Priorat for the 2018 Planetes de Nin from the Nin-Ortiz family, a Garnacha aged in clay amphora that has had a few years to become something special. Next comes a true classic: the 2021 Rioja Reserva from Marqués de Murrieta, one of the region’s oldest and most storied estates. And when Pastry Chef Katherine King’s dessert arrives, it meets its perfect partner in Lustau’s San Emilio Pedro Ximénez, a sherry as dark, rich, and indulgent as Spain gets. Executive Chef Jason Ramos and team are building a menu to match each pour.
