Italian Wine Dinner Series – Wines From The Italian Countryside – Friday, 6.17.16

Italy is one of the world’s most important wine producing regions, perhaps best known for its long-lived Barolo, Barbaresco, Brunello and Amarone. But it is also one of the most diverse wine producing countries, with hundreds of different regions and, according to Burton Anderson, more than 3,200 different grape types. Join us as we go off the beaten path and seek out some of our favorite wines from the Italian countryside. Wine Director Brian Hider and Director of Education and Retail Operations Chris Cree (one of only 38 Masters of Wine in the US and the newest addition to the wine team), will choose some of their favorites and pair them with a menu created by Executive Chef Andrew Lattanzio. Chris will provide background about the wines during the dinner and will be on hand to answer any questions.
