SUMMARY:Oktoberfest Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Prost! This October\, Pluckemin Inn is trading in our usual elegance for a night of German warmth\, hearty flavor\, and exceptional beer. On Wednesday\, October 7th at 7pm\, we’re hosting a five course Oktoberfest dinner\, each course thoughtfully paired with a German style beer chosen to complement it. \nThe evening will feature two interpretations of the classic Oktoberfest style: one brewed in collaboration between Germany’s Weihenstephan and Massachusetts-based Jack’s Abby\, and another crafted right here in New Jersey\, so you can taste how each tradition interprets the style. Rounding out the evening are three additional German inspired beers\, each selected to bring out something different in the courses they’re paired with. Chef Jason and GM\, and beer aficionado\, Juan Carlos Fuentes are already deep in planning\, and we can’t wait to share the details as they come together. \nSeating for this one will be intimate\, so we recommend keeping an eye out for the full menu and beer lineup\, coming soon. Mark your calendar for October 7th at 7pm\, and get ready for a night that celebrates good food\, great beer\, and the kind of gathering Oktoberfest was made for. SUMMARY:Spanish Wine Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Some evenings call for a passport. This one just calls for a reservation. On Thursday\, October 29th\, Pluckemin Inn takes a trip across Spain for a five-course wine-paired dinner\, traveling from the misty Atlantic coastline of Galicia to the sunny bodegas of Jerez\, with plenty of delicious stops in between. \nThe journey begins by the sea with a bright\, mineral Albariño from Boal de Arousa in Rías Baixas\, a wine that tastes like a sunny afternoon on the Galician coast. From there we head inland to Navarra for Viña Zorzal’s Garnacha Blanca\, then climb into the steep slate hills of Priorat for the 2018 Planetes de Nin from the Nin-Ortiz family\, a Garnacha aged in clay amphora that has had a few years to become something special. Next comes a true classic: the 2021 Rioja Reserva from Marqués de Murrieta\, one of the region’s oldest and most storied estates. And when Pastry Chef Katherine King’s dessert arrives\, it meets its perfect partner in Lustau’s San Emilio Pedro Ximénez\, a sherry as dark\, rich\, and indulgent as Spain gets. Executive Chef Jason Ramos and team are building a menu to match each pour. \nClick Here to book. \nTo view the menu and wine pairing\, click here.
